Pre-Tax Health Savings and Reimbursement Programs

Pre-Tax Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
FSA accounts represent the first form of Consumer Driven Health Care (CDHC) approved by the Internal Revenue Service. They are easily established and allow for employees to use pre-tax dollars on an approved menu of healthcare offerings within the plan.
Extended Medical Coverage (COBRA)
All employees participating in a medical benefits plan are eligible for extended medical coverage at the employee’s expense upon employment termination. Depending on the state, the time permitted varies, but usually between 18 to 24 months.
